<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image processor capable of obtaining a desired color development by selectively correcting only a recording paper fitting a prescribed condition without correcting such recording paper that further deteriorates color for some ground color in using plain paper as recording paper to perform color printing. <P>SOLUTION: This color image processor is provided with a histogram preparing means for preparing histogram from background read data obtained by reading and scanning recording paper by making the histogram from which the number of frequencies corresponding to gradation intensity is extracted correspond to a color separation signal (RGB signal), a correction value calculating means for calculating a prescribed correction value on the basis of the histogram, a determining means for detecting unevenness of the histogram according to preset reference to determine the existence/absence of correction processing performance, and a correcting means for performing correction processing of color original read data obtained by reading and scanning a color original with the correction value according to a determination result of the correction performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
