MOBILE ROBOT, ITS AUTONOMOUS TRAVEL SYSTEM, AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a mobile robot that flash controls landmarks provided in a work space and autonomously moves knowing its position and to supply its autonomous travel system and method.

SOLUTION: The landmark (100) consist of many flashable light sources provided in a certain space. The landmark control module (300) flash controls the landmark light sources. The mobile robot (500) has a position calculation module (504) that sends light source signals to the landmark control module to selectively flash control the landmark light sources and recognizes its own position by the flashing light sources to enable the robot's autonomous travel.
