<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for extending/reducing an image of a marker part of an original in accordance with paper size and automatically selecting paper suited to the size of the marker part image to record and output the image. <P>SOLUTION: A digital copying device 1 detects the marker part image specified by a maker on the original by a marker part detection part 7a, extracts the marker part image from an original image storage part 43 in which the picture data of the original are recorded and stores the extracted image in a marker part image storage part 44. When transfer paper for recording the marker part image is selected by an operation display part 11, a system control part 41 performs paper specification/variable power processing for allowing an image processing part 42 to extend/reduce the marker part image in accordance with the selected paper size and allowing an image formation part 44 to record and output the extended/reduced marker part image on the transfer paper of the selected paper size, or the system control part 41 automatically selects transfer paper of the size suited to the marker part image and records and outputs the marker part image. Thus the marker part image of the original can be extended/reduced in accordance with the size of paper for recording the image and the marker part image can be recorded by size required by a user.
