摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium of a superresolution near field structure for reproducing a signal from a small recording mark size by using a red laser and a low power laser beam, a recording method and a reproducing method thereof, and a recording apparatus and a reproducing apparatus for the same. <P>SOLUTION: The recording medium has a structure, in which a polycarbonate layer, a second dielectric body layer, a highly flexible second high flexibility layer having a melting point near by recording power, a rigid second protective layer, a recording layer, a rigid first protective layer, a highly flexible first high flexibility layer having a melting point near by the recording power and a first dielectric body layer are layered sequentially. When a laser beam is irradiated to the recording layer constituted of a platinum oxide, a palladium oxide or a silver oxide, the recording layer is thermally decomposed, and a cavity having particles of platinum, palladium or silver and oxygen is formed, recording for writing is carried out by expanding in volume on both sides in the directions of the first and the second high flexibility layers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
