摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reproduction durability, cross-erase characteristics and recording sensitivity of a rewritable optical recording medium by which high speed recording can be performed. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium is provided with a recording layer 14, a first dielectric layer 15 provided on the side of a light incidence surface 17a when viewed from the recording layer 14, a second dielectric layer 13 provided on the side of a supporting substrate 11 when viewed from the recording layer 14, a heat radiation layer 16 provided on the side of the light incidence surface 17a when viewed from the first dielectric layer 15 and a reflection layer 12 provided on the side of the supporting substrate 11 when viewed from the second dielectric layer 13. The recording layer 14 contains a material represented by the general formula (Sb<SB>X</SB>Te<SB>1-X</SB>)<SB>1-Y</SB>M<SB>Y</SB>(M means at least one element except antimony (Sb) and tellurium (Te)), the first dielectric layer 15 contains a mixture of ZnS and SiO<SB>2</SB>, the reflection layer 12 contains silver (Ag) or an alloy consisting essentially of silver and the heat radiation layer 16 contains a material consisting essentially of aluminum nitride (AlN). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
