<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management system of a device capable of performing the failure analysis of a management means even in an inexpensive hardware structure having no auxiliary storage device in the management means as a management computer. <P>SOLUTION: This system comprises an error log and trace log storage part 303a-7 for storing a communication error between the device 302 and the management computer 303 as an error log; an error log and trace log storage part 303a-7 for storing the communication history between the device and the management computer as a trace log; a log size determination part 303a-3 for periodically checking the size of the error log and trace log; a communication part 303a-4 for reporting the error log and trace log exceeding a fixed size to a remote monitoring computer 306; and an error log and trace log storage part 306-5 for storing the error log and trace log reported from the management computer in a database by the remote monitoring computer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
