PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-air conditioner capable of individually heating or cooling a multiplicity of rooms, preventing refrigerant flowing noise liable to be generated in an inoperative indoor unit, and preventing stagnation of a refrigerant in a refrigerant pipe connected to an inoperative indoor unit of a multiplicity of indoor units. SOLUTION: The multi-air conditioner includes an outdoor unit including a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, a passage control valve controlling flow passages of the refrigerant discharged from the compressor, and an outdoor tube; the multiplicity of indoor units including indoor unit expanders, indoor heat exchangers, and indoor unit tubes; a distributor selectively distributing and allowing passage of the refrigerant flowing in from the outdoor unit in accordance with each operation mode, and sending it to the outdoor unit again; and a noise preventing means provided in the tube connected to each indoor unit for preventing the refrigerant flowing noise generated in an inoperative indoor unit by blocking inflow of the refrigerant to the indoor unit not operating during operation of the apparatus.
