PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which does not record a beep related to photographing, which is emitted from a recording device main body, when photographing pictures in the middle of sound recording and prevents unnecessary consumption of a memory and eliminates an influence upon sounds to be recorded. SOLUTION: The recorder is provided with a recording medium 12 where sounds and photographed pictures are recorded, a photographic processing part 20 which photographs a subject, and a CPU 5 which emits a beep related to photographing the subject by the photographic processing part 20 and interrupts sound recording to the recording medium 12 during emission of the beep when sounds are recorded.
