PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line filter which can be reduced in size while attenuation characteristics are improved. SOLUTION: Another magnetic leg 21 is provided at the side opposing one magnetic leg 20 and a pair of connecting magnetic legs 22 connected to the one magnetic leg 20, and the magnetic leg 21 are provided in a closed magnetic circuit core 17. The sectional shape of this one magnetic leg 20 is formed in an octagonal shape. The thickness (H) of the other magnetic leg 21 and the connecting magnetic leg 22 of the width (W3) of the outer peripheral surfaces corresponding to the sectional shape of the one magnetic leg 20 are set substantially equal. Particularly, the radial size (L1) of the one magnetic leg 20 and the width (W4) of the other magnetic leg 21 and the connecting magnetic leg 22 are set substantially equal. A distance (L2) from the outermost periphery of the one magnetic leg 20 to the other magnetic leg 21 is reduced slightly smaller than the radial size (L1) of the one magnetic leg 20.
