PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device in which position adjustment is easily and accurately conducted for an optical detector, positional deviation of the detector is not generated after the adjustment is made and reliability is made high. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a base member 3 that includes a mounting surface 3a through which laser beams reflected by an optical disk are passed through, a wedge shaped block 8 which includes a mounting surface contacted to the surface 3a and a mounting surface 8b located at the opposite side of the mounting surface and an optical detector 5 which is provided on the surface 8b and receives the laser beams passed through the surface 3a. The surface 8b is tilted with respect to the surface 3a. The optical head device is also provided with an adhesive agent 29 which is used to fix the block 8 to a desired position of the surface 3a and an adhesive agent 26 which is used to fix the detector 5 to a desired position of the surface 8b.
