PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a receipt corresponding to an entered date to be issued. SOLUTION: A receipt issuing apparatus 10 sets forbidden dates for filling in a receipt, as a date set for forbidding the filling-in. At the time of issuing the receipt, the receipt issuing apparatus judges whether a date entered as a date to be written on the receipt is the present date or earlier than the present date, or whether the date falls in the date set for forbidding the filling-in, and, if the entered date is the present date or earlier than the present date and does not fall in the date set for forbidding the filling-in, proceeds printing and issuing of the receipt of the entered date.
