PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low noise and low vibration type method for easily removing an existing expansion apparatus, uninfluenced by a worker's experience or the like without causing intense vibration or a loud noise in consideration of the environment. SOLUTION: This removal method for the existing expansion apparatus comprises a connection part removal process for removing a connection part of the expansion apparatus provided at the end part of post-cast concrete; a horizontal cutting process for forming a horizontal cut line at the end part of the post-cast concrete by inserting a horizontal cutter in a position of the removed connection part and moving it along the end part of the post-cast concrete; a vertical cutting process for forming a vertical cut line in a position corresponding to the cut tip position of the horizontal cut line formed in the post-cast concrete; and a block removal process for removing a block separated by the horizontal cutting process and the vertical cutting process.
