PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonated hardened body and a method of manufacturing the carbonated hardened body having sufficient strength as interior and exterior materials with little variation in work dimensions and having fine appearance in the finish of a joint or the like. SOLUTION: This carbonated hardened body 1 is composed of an inorganic material containing calcium silicate and has a recess 4 fittable to a projection formed on the surface of a skeleton board (preferably the projection and recess have dovetail shapes). The carbonated hardened body 1 is manufactured by carrying out carbonation treatment after extrusion-molding the inorganic material comprising calcium silicate, a water soluble polymeric material and water.
