The patch panel (1) has a housing supported by fixing angles (7) at its opposite ends with a front plate (3) acting as a plug-in field (6) for providing data connections for an incoming cable. Each fixing angle has a forked spring latch (9) cooperating with guide grooves (8) provided by the end sidewalls of the housing.
