<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas quenching device and method for cooling a high-temperature exhaust gas discharged from a gasification reducing melting furnace or a gasification incinerator for waste treatment. <P>SOLUTION: In the gasification reducing melting furnace or the gasification incinerator for waste, this quenching device and method for the exhaust gas from the reducing melting furnace is provided with a channel into which the liquid or gas cooling medium flows, on an outer cylindrical chamber of a cooling tower of a cylindrical structure composed of double shell of the outer cylindrical chamber and an inner cylindrical chamber, and the high-temperature waste gas generated from the furnace is introduced into the inner cylindrical chamber to be cooled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
