PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load and to make the operation efficient in a case where a user sets simultaneous recording or continuous recording to a plurality of recording subunits through control equipment in a recording system in which a plurality of recording subunits and the control equipment are connected by communication lines. SOLUTION: A plurality of recording subunits connected to the control equipment is displayed on a GUI (graphical user interface) screen 40 as a connection device list 41, and a user selects a recording subunits for recording (47a and 47b) from the list and selects simultaneous recording 43a or continuous recording 43b from a recording option 43 on the GUI screen 40. The control equipment establishes a transmission path with the selected recording subunits according to an instruction of either the simultaneous recording 43a or the continuous recording 43b selected from the recording option 43.
