PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor capable of ensuring durability and reliability by providing a bypass passage equipped with a relief valve and a throttle mechanism, between a closed container on the high pressure side and an accumulator on the low pressure side to suppress pressure rise in the closed container even under the condition of high outside air temperature. SOLUTION: This compressor comprises a high internal pressure type compressor body 1 having a motor 2 and a compression part 3 disposed in a closed container 1a, and an accumulator 12 attached to the compressor body 1 and provided with an inlet pipe 2a and an outlet pipe 12b, wherein the outlet pipe 12b of the accumulator 12 is connected to a suction port 6 of the compression part 3. The bypass passage 16 in which the relief valve 15 for releasing excess pressure in a high pressure space of the compressor body 1, and the throttle mechanism 17 for reducing the excess pressure, are connected in series, is connected between the high pressure space of the compressor body 1 and a gas space d of the accumulator 12.
