PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a private space when a backrest part of a seat is reclined backward in an automobile. SOLUTION: In this vehicle compartment structure of an automobile, a seat 5 having a reclinable backrest part 22 at a rear part of a seat part 21 is installed in a vehicle compartment 7 of an automobile 1. A bliding compartment side wall part 20 higher than the backrest part 22 reclined backward is installed to either one of right and left sides of the backrest part 22 when inclined backward in the vehicle compartment 7.
