PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closed anti-rolling water tank capable of eliminating a cause of gas fire (explosion) by safely releasing gas generated in the case of using fuel oil such as A fuel oil as its oil used in the closed anti-rolling water tank by automatic control without troubling a person. SOLUTION: This anti-rolling water tank is doubly used as a fuel tank and an anti-rolling water tank and provided with an air vent pipe 17 with a closing device to be opened only at the time of supplying or transferring fuel oil and a gas vent pipe 12 through the closing device 13 such as a valve free to remote-drive, etc. A lower end of the gas vent pipe is connected to the neighborhood of a tank top part and the other end is connected to the atmospheric air side from a position of the closing device 8 for air vent. The gas vent pipe is provided with a cooling device 39 for the purpose of cooling gas at a proper position. Consequently, a control signal from a control part 25 is output to a gas vent device part 28 in accordance with information detected by a sensor part 21, and gas filled in a tank is made in a lower state than a flash point and released to atmospheric air.
