PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a lock state even without using a rotation detection sensor for the motor of a blowing means for blowing air into an inner tub, to prevent the situation that hot air is stopped and clothes inside the inner tub can not be dried, to improve safety at the time of a fault and to make a controller miniaturized and inexpensive in a washing and drying machine for successively controlling a series of processes of washing, rinsing, spin-drying and drying. SOLUTION: A temperature detection means 54 provided on an inner tub side from a heater 51 is included in a casing including the heater 51 for heating blown air from a blowing fan. The input current to the heater 51 is detected by a current detection means 60, an operation course or the like is set by an input setting means 58, the operation of a blowing air motor 47 and the heater 51 or the like is controlled and the processes of washing, rinsing, spin-drying and drying, etc., are controlled by a controll means 56. When the output value of the current detection means 60 and the output value of the temperature detection means 54 are smaller than a prescribed value for the prescribed time after starting the drying process, a control means 56 judges that the blowing air motor 47 is stopped.
