PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a screening of an inhibitor for inhibiting the interaction of proteins simply, in a high speed and by a large amount. SOLUTION: This method for detecting the interaction inhibitor is provided by preparing interacting proteins X and Y, introducing an expression vector having a polynucleotide having a base sequence encoding a protein X-DNA-bonding domain complex and an expression vector having a polynucleotide having a base sequence encoding a protein Y-transcription-activating domain complex into host cells having an expression system containing a reporter gene of which transcription is activated by performing the interaction of the proteins X with Y, also bringing an interaction inhibitor candidate compound in contact with the host cells and recognizing that the inhibitor candidate compound as the inhibitor for inhibiting the interaction of the proteins X with Y in the case that the activation of the transcription of the reporter gene is not detected.
