PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection terminal with little fear of deformation at a terminal connecting part even with prying force acting on it. SOLUTION: The connection terminal is pressed from a sheet of conductive metal plate, with the terminal connecting part 11 fitted at the front for accepting a counterpart male terminal. The terminal connecting part 11 is formed in a square cylindrical shape by a bottom plate 12, and side plates 13 folded upward from both sides of the bottom plate 12 and a top plate 15 folded inward from the side plates 13. A coupling piece 16 is set in extension at a rear part of the top plate 15 and the tip part the coupling piece 16 is to be a locking piece 16a of a narrow width. Furthermore, the bottom plate has a hole part 12a notched, in transversing which 12a, a protruded string part 12b is formed a little lifted, and a locking piece 16a of the coupling piece 16 is locked to the protruded string part 12b so as to coil around it from the lower side.
