The fastening element (1) for pipes in motor vehicles is rigidly connected to a pipe and has a socket (2) for connecting component to the frame of the vehicle. At least one insert (3) is installed in the socket and a cut-out (4) in the fastening element extends from its outer edge (5) to the socket and insert. The width of the cut-out is smaller than the diameter of the insert, and the diameter of the insert is at least as large as the diameter of the head of the connecting component. An independent claim is included for a procedure for the manufacture in which the fastening element is made from plastic in an injection moulding process and the insert is fitted in the injection mould during the manufacturing process.
