METHOD FOR THE SELECTIVE ESTERIFICATION OF POLYOLES

The invention relates to the production of polyoles from corresponding polyoles and carboxylic acids containing an aromatic ring, whereby said polyoles are esterified on the primary OH-group. The aim of the invention is to improve the selectivity and yield without introducing or separating protective groups. The polyole is reacted with a carboxylic acid alkyl ester in the presence of an organic solvent and under catalysis of a hydrolase, especially lipase or esterase.
