PURPOSE: A system and a method a distributed process using a virtual machine are provided to offer a universal distributed processing system not restricted to a specified task by writing a client program in a script form and processing the client program on the virtual machine. CONSTITUTION: A distributed processing server(210) includes the connection information for the clients(220) and transmits the program(230) containing each divided task contents and the data(240) needed for the task to each client by dividing the task to be processed. The client receives the program through the network by using a protocol, loads the program to the virtual machine(221), processes the program by inputting the data, and transmits a result to the distributed processing server through the network. The virtual machine includes a main module, an interpreting module, a designer module, a system object module, and a task module.
