A valve case (20) has inlet (23) and outlet (24) connection pieces. A valve body (12) inserts into the valve case and has a valve opening (13) between the inlet and outlet connection pieces. A valve element (14) releases/seals the associated valve opening. An electromagnetic actuator (15) operates the valve element and makes an electrical connection to a connector shell (27). An independent claim is also included for a device for a valve cartridge (11) held near its valve cage (17) by the valve case's case section (202) that has a smaller inner diameter.
