PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize stable recording and reproducing operation within a short period of time by enabling continuous recording and reproducing operation to both land and groove without track jump between the adjacent land and groove defining both land and groove formed at the substrate surface as the recording track to record information. SOLUTION: Both groove 1 and land 2 formed on the surface of substrate are defined as the recording tracks. This recording track is formed as one spiral track on the substrate. When this tracked is traced without any track jump, the groove 1 and land 2 appear alternately and the switching point of the groove 1 and land 2 is expressed as 2m-1(m: 1, 2, 3,...) for one circumference of the recording track. This switching point A is formed almost uniformly in the radius direction and is also formed in the odd number for one circumference of recording track depending on the application purpose. |
