METHOD FOR DRIVING PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to suppress the self erase discharge generated when the sustain pulses applied to the pair of sustain electrodes are crossed from each other. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving a plasma display panel includes the steps of: resetting all discharging cell in the reset period(PR); forming the wall charges on the discharge cells to be displayed in the address period(PA); and sustaining the discharge to display the gray level to the discharge cells in the sustain discharge period(PS). In the sustain discharge period(PS) alternatively applying two different level of voltages to the first and the second sustain electrode lines, the voltage of the second sustain electrode lines having a high level is changed into the voltage having a low level after the voltage of the first sustain electrode line having a low level is changed into the voltage having a high level.
