<p>The seal attached to L-section supports (5) on the door or window panel frame uprights (4) that face one another when closed consists of compression joints (6) of a polymer material on the facing surfaces of the supports that contain magnetic elements (7). The magnetic elements attract one another when the panels are closed, ensuring contact between the surfaces of the compression joints along their whole length. The compression joints can be produced by extrusion, e.g. from a supple thermoplastic foam material, with the magnetic elements covered during extrusion or inserted subsequently.</p> |
