Modifying printing based on print job clues

A computer transmits print job clues to one or more printers prior to transmitting the print jobs to the printer. The print job clues can be used to indicate to the one or more printers various aspects of the print jobs. The printing of the print jobs can be modified, for example their order of printing can be changed, using the print job clues.
