PURPOSE: A water supply structure for a washing machine is provided to improve washing and rinsing efficiencies by varying the head of washing water corresponding to pressure of water with shower-injecting washing water. CONSTITUTION: A water supply structure for a washing machine is composed of an outer tub(54) installed in a case to store washing water; an inner tub(55) rotated and installed in the outer tub to store the laundry and washing water; a feed valve assembly(64) installed in the upper parts of the inner tub and the outer tub to regulate water supplied to the outer tub and the inner tub; and a movable shower injection unit(80) connected to the feed valve assembly to vary the head of washing water according to pressure of water by showering water from the feed valve assembly. The laundry is soaked quickly and evenly by protruding a shower nozzle from a shower body, and washing or rinsing efficiency is improved by contacting the laundry to washing water for a long time. Splashing of water is restricted by reducing the head of washing water with the shower nozzle, and outflow of the laundry is prevented by pressing the laundry lifting on the washing water with the shower nozzle. |
