The scattering apparatus includes a discharge roller arrangement (7) provided with discharge rollers. The discharge rollers discharge the oblong wooden chips to a conveyor belt (4) via orientation pits formed by orientation walls (9). The orientation walls are arranged and extended in-line with respect to the conveyor belt.
