A door guard apparatus is provided having a first layer of adhesive, a middl e layer providing structural rigidity and resistance to structure penetration, and a decorative outer overlay affixed to the middle layer. A knob aecess genetrates all the layer to allow for mounting about a doorknob. An light bulb is housed within the midd le layer, and transmits illumination through a lens mounted flush with the decorative outer layer.
