The assembly has a back rest (3) mounted in rotation around an axis (5) placed at intersection of planes of a seat (2) and backrest. The seat and backrest has a body (7) equipped with lateral support zones (8) which extends in accordance with a usage surface of the body. The body has complimentary lateral zones (9) to accommodate a respective support zone of the body, when the assembly is in a folded position. The assembly operates between an operating position in which the backrest and seat are distant from one another and a folding position in which the backrest and seat are piled up from one another. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing upholstery of a vehicle seat. |
