PURPOSE: An installation structure for an embankment block of a river is provided to improve constructability by installing embankment blocks simply and to cut down construction expenses by shortening a period of construction. CONSTITUTION: The installation structure for an embankment block of a river(100) comprises the steps of installing footing blocks(300) on both sides of the river and piling up embankment blocks(400) vertically and horizontally in order. The footing block(300) is formed in a rectangular parallelepiped shape and provided with a square groove to fasten the embankment block(400), and the embankment block(400) is installed vertically and horizontally slantwise and provided with a fastening hole to install laterally and continuously by a fastening pin.
