PURPOSE: A method for displaying MP3 file lists is provided to output file names for plural MP3 files through detailed list screen windows and plural preview list windows, and to automatically scroll outputted detailed lists and preview lists at the request of a user, so that the user can easily retrieve the stored MP3 files. CONSTITUTION: When a DVD is inserted(S10), a microcomputer stores/manages MP3 file management information(S11). If a user requests MP3 file lists to be displayed(S12), the microcomputer separately displays detailed list screen windows and plural preview list screen windows as OSD images(S13). If the user selects an automatic scroll mode(S14), the microcomputer automatically scrolls detailed lists or preview lists(S15). If the user does not select the automatic scroll mode, the microcomputer sequentially scrolls the lists(S16). If the user selects an optional file name(S17), the microcomputer performs a series of MP3 file play operations(S18).
