PURPOSE: A plasma display panel for high-speed driving and a method thereof are provided to reduce address time by simultaneously scanning discharge cells, each of which is offset by a 1/2 pixel pitch, using a scan electrode. CONSTITUTION: A discharge space of a discharge cell defined by N-th and (N+1)-th lines is offset by a wall(64). A scan electrode(Y1) is formed to be shared by the discharge cell defined by the N-th and (N+1)-th lines. A sustain electrode(Z1) and the scan electrode are shared by the N-th discharge cell and (N+1)-th discharge cell. An address electrode is crossed with the scan electrode and the sustain electrode. The address electrode is alternatively positioned on the discharge cell and the wall. |
