OPTICAL PICKUP ACTUATOR

PURPOSE: An optical pickup actuator is provided to form a groove on a swing arm, in order to make the swing arm lighter owing to the formed groove, thereby improving a responsive characteristic of control by reducing rotative inertia and improving an effect of protection against heat. CONSTITUTION: A swing arm is rotatively installed on a base(100). The swing arm is driven by a voice coil motor(120) consisting of the first coil(123), the first magnet(121), and a yoke(122), and rotates in a tracking direction(T). A leaf spring(140) is installed on the swing arm. One section of the leaf spring(140) is fixed to the swing arm, and the other section becomes a free section which can transform a focus direction(F). A miniature optical pickup is combined with the free section. When the leaf spring(140) is transformed in the focus direction(F), a focusing operation of the optical pickup is conducted.
