PURPOSE: A device and a method for processing a charge are provided to shorten a waiting time for charge settlement without increasing wireless traffics by settling a use charge in real-time, and transmitting a stored settlement result to a charge collector installed to a gas charging station when a taxi enters the gas charging station. CONSTITUTION: A reader(210) reads a medium ID and an available transaction price from an electronic payment medium placed within an electronic wave range. A certification part(220) certifies the electronic payment medium based on the medium ID. A settlement part(230) settles the charge by subtracting the charge from the available transaction price if a certification signal for the electronic payment medium is received from the certification part. An output part(240) outputs the settlement result including a settlement time and the settlement price. A data transmitter(260) transmits the settlement result stored in a storage(250) to an external device through a wireless communication network if a data transmission request signal is received from the external device. |
