The weighing module has a weighing cell with flanges (16,18) fixed to lower and upper platforms (12,14) by bolts (20,22). Overload is prevented by platform feet (24,26) and the module is locked during any transit by plates (32,36). The locking plates have an L shaped profile which allows them to be fixed to the platforms by bolts (34,38) and they are secured together by a threaded pin (30)
