PURPOSE: A system for processing an application and variable data through digital TV broadcasting and a method therefor are provided to receive application address information from a transmission device, and to download an application from a broadcasting station server to receive variable data, thereby reducing a load of the server. CONSTITUTION: A receiving device(200) extracts application address information and variable data from a transmission device(100), accesses a broadcasting station server(300) by using the address information, and downloads an application from the server(300). A receiving portion(210) receives broadcasting data. An extractor(220) extracts the address information and the variable data. An application requesting portion(230) accesses the server(300) by using the address information, and requests the application to be transmitted. An application processor(240) downloads the requested application. |
