Improvements to louvre windows

A louvre locking mechanism to lock a plurality of louvres in a louvre window, the locking mechanism comprising an elongate slide member (35) which is slidable between a louvre locking position and an unlocking position, an operating means to operate the slide member and a plurality of engagement means on the slide member, each engagement means engageable with a louvre, whereby the louvres can be closed in the normal manner, and the slide member can be operated to its locking position which causes the engagement means to engage with the louvres. Louvre operating mechanisms and sealing means are also disclosed.
