PURPOSE: A system and a method for recommending a video are provided to recommend the video suitable for a user's taste more correctly by calculating similarity between videos. CONSTITUTION: When a user is selected(110), a video, which is not evaluated by the selected user, is selected(120). The similarity between the selected video and another video(130) is calculated. An estimation value of the selected video is calculated by the similarity(140). When the estimation value of user's evaluation on the selected video is obtained, it is checked if there is another video which is not evaluated(150). The estimation value is compared with a reference value, a video having a high estimation value is selected and thereby the video is recommended to the user in the order of the high estimation value(160).
