PURPOSE: A method for producing phosphatidyl serine and lysophosphatidyl serine from organic solvent is provided, thereby easily dissolving high purity lecithin as well as low and meddle purity lecithins, and easily recovering the reacting materials. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing phosphatidyl serine and lysophosphatidyl serine from organic solvent comprises allowing lecithin to react with serine in the presence of phospholipase D and phospholipase A, wherein the lecithin contains at least one selected from phosphatidyl choline, phosphatidyl ethanol amine and phosphatidyl inositol; the reaction is carried out in two phase system consisting of organic solvent and buffer solution; the organic solvent is produced by mixing 2 or more organic solvents; the organic solvent contains ethylacetate and hexane in the ratio of 9:1 to 1:9; the hydrogen concentration of the buffer solution is pH 4 to 8; and the reaction temperature is 20 to 60 deg. C.
