PURPOSE: A device for preventing burn of a sound-absorbing material for a muffler of a vehicle is provided to prevent burn of the sound-absorbing material caused by exhaust gas without lowering the function of the sound-absorbing material. CONSTITUTION: In a device for preventing burn of a sound-absorbing material(40) for a muffler(50) of a vehicle, a tube(10), in which warps and wefts are woven in a cylindrical body shape, is fitted to the outer surface of a filter pipe(20). The weft constituting the tube is one of such an inorganic thread as a glass fiber or, such a metallic thread as a stainless fiber or an aluminum fiber, or such an organic thread as a polyolefin-type synthetic fiber. The weft is one of such an organic thread as a glass fiber, or such a metallic thread as a stainless fiber or an aluminum fiber. |
