PURPOSE: An operation control method of an air conditioner is provided to improve performance of the system, and to cool optimally by calculating the operation frequency of a compressor and the opening angle of an electronic expansion valve. CONSTITUTION: The required cooling condition is calculated with indoor temperature, outdoor temperature and predetermined temperature(S10). The operation frequency of a compressor is estimated to operate the compressor, and the opening angle of an electronic expansion valve is calculated to perform the required cooling condition(S20). The calculated operation frequency and the calculated opening angle of the electronic expansion valve are compared with the maximum cooling condition(S30). The compressor and the electronic expansion valve are operated with the calculated value in case of the calculated operation frequency and the calculated opening angle of the electronic expansion valve to be the optimal cooling condition(S40).
