PURPOSE: A method for recording/managing navigation information on a recording program is provided to output an OSD input window while setting a reserved recording function, and to record/manage category information selectively inputted through the OSD input window with recording information as navigation information, thereby selectively inputting various navigation information without omitting. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer performs a general recording process in a disk(S10). If the recording process is completed(S11), the microcomputer outputs an OSD menu screen for selectively inputting category information identical with a recording program(S12). The microcomputer temporarily stores the category information(S13), and confirms general recording information(S14). The microcomputer records/manages the category information in a navigation area as navigation information on the recording program(S15). If a user requests recording program list information to be displayed(S16), the microcomputer outputs the list information(S17).
