<p>The invention relates to a process and an installation for metallurgically treating the pig iron used in the metallurgical industry. The subject-matter of the invention is a process according to which, for producing steel melts, the metallurgical operations are carried out in a single tank, which in a first step, has the role of converter, followed by a second step wherein the load is subjected to refining by oxygen blast, followed by heating the mixture and homogenizing the same by means of some electric arc electrodes. The installation consists of two metallurgical aggregates (11 and 21) wherein the central part (15 and 25) of some tilting covers (13 and 23) can be connected separately to a curved conduit (61) for burnt gases, wherethrough an oxygen blasting lance (41) can be brought, and to an electrode-containg device (31) sustained by a pivoting device (33).</p> |
