<p>The device can be applied for casting of parts using the method of semi-liquid stamping. Filling of the mould is made pneumatically by a runner pipe submerged in a crucible, runner system, organized in a lower and upper half-mould and a supply runner fitted in an upper half-mould. A gate valve cuts off the supply runner after the mould is filled with smelt. The gate valve can be fitted either in the lower or in the upper half-mould. After cutting off the supply runner, the punches for the primary and secondary pressing make the casting compact during its crystallization. The knocking-off of the casting and the residue of solidified material in the supply runner and the runner system is made by the punches for the secondary pressing and by the knocking-off devices. 3 claims, 2 figures</p> |
