HOME AUTOMATION CONTROL METHOD USING MOBILE TERMINAL AND SYSTEM THEREOF

PURPOSE: A home automation control method using a mobile terminal and a system thereof are provided to allow a user to immediately receive a short message related to an abnormal state of various devices at a remote place and check a kind of the abnormal state through a mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) gateway(150) receives data from a CDMA module unit(103), converts it into a WAP protocol, and transmits it to a mobile terminal(170). The WAP gateway(150) receives WAP protocol data from the mobile terminal(170), converts it into TCP(Transmission Control Protocol)/IP(Internet Protocol) and transmits it to the CDMA module unit(103). An SMSC(Short Message Service Center)(160) temporarily stores a short message informing about an abnormal state as received from the CDMA module unit(103) and an MIN of the mobile terminal(170) and then transmits the short message to the mobile terminal having the MIN received through a mobile communication network(140). The mobile terminal(170) receives the short message and is connected to a controller(100) through the mobile communication network(140) by pressing a phone number included in the short message or a call connection button. After being connected to the controller(100), the mobile terminal(170) inputs a password for user authentication, and then controls a desired lower device.
